Levi LaVallee does his first site check at the Embarcadero in San Diego, CA, where he will attempt to break the snowmobile distance jumping world record at Red Bull New Year, No Limits on Dec. 31.
The distance record is basically the length of a football field plus one foot.
One of the problems Paul Thacker had was getting enough speed. Since he won't be on snow, LaVallee will use wheels on his skis. Will that make the difference?
A distance jump is a dangerous undertaking basically because of the speeds involved. If you come up short you won't be happy.
In about a month and half, millions of people will tune in to watch Levi make his jump here.
